You were not born depressed! Saying you inherited from mother or father is no excuse not to avail yourself of every natural mean to take the ‘load’ off thats pressing down on your potential to ‘right a wrong’ to your life. Un-depress! As a play on words, it’s like to ‘undress’, only it’s attachment to the negative past. When a tire goes flat, seek the cause, then fix why it became depressed or flat lined. That being done, fill it with air. Same idea with people! Find the cause and fill it with meditation air! Works, but not so fast!

Depression is most often caused by an accumulation of bad experiences, particularly in the formative years, and year after year attachment to the depression gets worse, or best case get compartmentalized in the unconscious. It’s a great time to be alive as there are ‘tried and true’ kits to fix the (flat) depression! When depressed, be depressed. Don’t get depressed about your depression. When depressed, simply be depressed. Just allow it to happen; it’ll go by itself. Life is a moving  flux; like the river that flows by itself.

Whenever you are depressed, wait for the moment that the depression leaves. Nothing lasts forever. The depression will go. It’s a mood. And when it leaves you, wait – be aware and alert – because after the depression, after the night, there will be a dawn and the sun will rise. If you can be alert in that moment. you will he happy that you were depressed. You will be grateful that you are depressed because only through your depression was this mint of happiness possible.

All emotions are for a reason, it’s nice to be in a blissful state most of the time, but even then, there are brief moments of natural response/reactions to everything from disappointment to sorrow and grief over the death of a loved one. In an inner balance, you will process the flow of whatever emotion from a healthy heart and mind. If you don’t have what feels like a full heart most all of the time, something needs to unclog the flow back and forth from the mind to the heart and in reverse. Start to move with ‘best choices’. Explore the many meditations available, and like any physical exercise, to see lasting real results, patience, dedication, and time must be experienced.  Pills or stimulants like alcohol, drugs, sugars, etc., not taken in careful moderation are contrary to the inner blooming to a steady bliss. Clear and clean the mind – it’s a brain wash!
