How many butts sit in the same chair groking illusions to make them feel themselves?  Author Robert Heinlein coined the term ‘grok’ in his best selling 1961 novel, ‘Strangers in a Strange Land’. In his view, groking is “the intermingling of intelligence that necessarily affects both the observer and the observed.
From the novel:
Grok means to understand so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed—to merge, blend, intermarry, lose identity in group experience. It means almost everything that we mean by religion, philosophy, and science—and it means as little to us (because of our Earthly assumptions) as color means to a blind man.

I love some movies like anyone.  I also use to love looking at Playboy magazines until ‘reality’ became far, far more exciting.  Thousands of novels, including ‘romance novels’, are written every year for the money that ‘window shoppers of life’ buy to read as they avoid the nuances of a reality that when harmoniously merged with, is a heaven on earth.  The ‘Muscats’ of the world know only what comes before their eyes and, titillates their varied erogenous zones.  Life is such now that one can be born in front of movies, live their lives weeping the ‘on screen Disneyland virtual realities’ and, on to the grave with a TV set thrown in for rotting eternity.

Hollywood or, Bollywood in India are ‘grape crusher’ illusion machines that keep the masses drunk while rarely serving up a ‘fine wine’ that is worth the expenditure for soda and popcorn that cost more than the movie.   If the movie doesn’t make you feel a ‘drunkenness, at least you get to non mingle with people who are also drunk in silence.  Movies remind people of the things that they should live or, avoid, from tragedies, adventures, comedies, to romances and, documentaries of life’s trials and tribulations.

Looking around at the world it seems that most find ways to avoid the realities of anything to do with ‘evolving consciousness’ in favor of settling for the ‘tinsel’ that requires a minimal of participation while avoiding the search and, finding a deeper meaning of life and love.  The lights are on in the world as never before in memory for personal movies without a camera.  Lights, camera and, action – you’re up for your ‘lifetime minutes of fame’.  Watch and engage in ‘yourself, love and, the world’, while giving and spreading the infinite goodness found, without the soda and popcorn. Each can be a god-man ‘Johnny Appleseed’ of spreading the news of loving yourself and, not stopping there!
