Puppy Love?

Puppy Love?

It might seem crazy what I have to say on meditation and love, but always it’s my positive experience of ‘walking the talk’ I share. Remember when you were very young, and certain adults referred to any love of another as a teenager as ‘puppy love’? If you were one of those early to middle teenagers, you may have resented that ‘anacronym’. Drunk on feelings of positive emotion for another is better than the finest desserts that can be imagined, but being inebriated on emotion lacks the wisdom of a common sense direction of what and how best to deal with it.

The phrase ‘puppy love’ comes from the experience we all feel when seeing little puppies who seem excited and in wonderment of living, until they mature and hopefully have caretakers who give them love and behavior instructions for a wonderful life. In a sense, humans evolve the same way, although much slower, and become adults combining the love and guidance or the lack of it, that they  experienced over the years.

Puppy love must transcend to higher and higher forms of love as time goes on, or it gets entangled with the unresolved obstacles from the past beginning in childhood or ‘puppy time’. Cute puppies can become poorly behaved dogs. Humans without proper love, and dissonant happenings in growing up, carry the scars all their lives being unable to manifest love in it’s highest forms. Instead ‘fear of love’ stays  hidden in plain sight of actions that are contrary to real love. Dogs can be ‘retrained’ to be loving animals just as people who don’t really show up as positive beings of love can be retrained when open and focused on the available ways.

‘Pretend love’ permeates society where people hold on to it until they use it as a ‘trap door’ to those that deserve much better. Pretend love is akin to ‘puppy love’ that never matures into its full integrity of giving and receiving the bliss and joys that are qualities of deep love.

Because men are weak, women have gone out of control. Together they’ve created excuses, a false religion in which “nobody’s perfect,” accepting wrong as right. Children grow up lost, and in many cases reject the reality of deep love entirely. There is a saying that ‘nobody’s perfect’, ignoring that you can be almost so with the balance of a healthy love within and if fortunate, with another. Love in harmonious positioning is as close to perfect as is possible. All are free to make the choice to ‘ease on up’ to the heaven within starting now! Be deep in your love!
