Whether organic food or junk food, at one point everyone has to ‘let go’ of it! All of life involves letting go. Letting go of the past and even letting go of the future. To be born, mother needs to let go. You needed to let go of ways to get to the next stage and from that stage to primary school age and all the steps through the aging process, especially clinging to the image of yourself in the mirror. Never forget the real you doesn’t show up in the mirror. The spirit inside your body needs to let go of the body to know who you are, and death of the physical reveals another dimension.

Letting go of being unaware of who you are, and seeing that what really happens in 3D around you is just an illusion are steps in waking up. What you think you see is only relative to what ‘filters’ of prior programming you are attached to. You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw rocks at every dog that barks. The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible always letting go of the attachment to all outcomes. A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; the optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. Both, especially the pessimist, rarely let go of their choices.

Life can either be accepted, changed or not accepted. If it cannot be changed, then it must be accepted although the negative thinker goes into denial. Life is fraught with opportunities to keep your mouth shut, and your mind and heart open. Most interacting problems with others comes from the attachment to the ingrained habits of not using the most skillful means to convert the problems into solutions.

Mind’s worry is only one, that is you must desire. Every desire is the same unless you can be detached from them or have a plan to let go of them. The objects differ, but not the quality of desiring. You desire money, somebody else desires God; you desire power, somebody else desires paradise. It is all the same. There are no spiritual desires, remember. Non desire is spiritual. Desiring is worldly, desire is the world. Letting go of desire is consciousness or spiritual.

Be mindful that what you see is passing into the memory bank, be it a good one or not, and filled with illusion. Letting go is simply making a decision to no longer allow something from the past to influence your life in the present moment or to reduce your inner sense of peace and well-being.  It is when we hold on to things or to the past that we prevent ourselves from growing. Like a bird, we have to find the courage to let go of a branch in order to fly and discover the true exhilaration of soaring to our highest potential. The less you carry, the further you go. So let go!
