Escape from Freedoms
October 26, 2016
How does one escape what one is not in? Freedom is an illusion for the most part. America as the land of freedom is a paper expression as long as you conform within a box while following social beliefs without questioning them, ‘and being outside the box’. Recently a few state by state decisions approved same sex marriage and also use of marijuana, that have been illegal, and still are in most states subject to a jail term if found exercising freedom with either. Some freedoms need common sense guidelines such as rules of the road. Other freedoms have been eliminated such as now needing identification to ride in a bus that goes from one state to another. A few months ago, I attempted to pay cash for a Mac Smart phone, but not having a photo ID, it wasn’t allowed. Going to get a photo ID, my obviously original birth certificate was refused as I had to get it certified from the hospital of my birth that it was real.
If you’ve ever been involved with our legal court system, as important as it can be, as well as fair in many cases, arbitrary decisions are made that defy common sense while twisting laws, sometimes assuming guilt when it’s either not the case, or just speculation. The military at times drafts the young to fight a war for ‘freedoms’ that have nothing but the words to do with it. The freedoms, that continue to be canceled, are often about money. Money for the attorney/court/prison systems drive many laws that serve little purpose while impairing lives for those that are punished. Social freedoms are being strangled to serve the political system/matrix (ironically some like ‘same sex marriage’ are made legal).
Use of common sense is not so common as a means to live harmoniously free of fear for judgment leading to courts that are overloaded, and that often are assuming one guilty rather than using common sense with compassion and empathy. Every element of society is shackled in one way or another, be it sometimes for the good and welfare of others, but often to pad attorney, legal systems pockets and quotas. Since over 1/2 of the people in America are 3 months away from poverty, those millions suffer the most if one innocent or careless thing goes wrong. They are thrown into an expensive legal system, not to mention an expensive medical system fueled in part by drug companies using humans as guinea pigs for the most part.
Freedoms that are not ‘freeing’, but just ‘rhetoric’ are infinite when one looks more closely. Always, the real freedoms are within when you have come to be free of the haunting negative memories that can be unattached from with a positive attitude involving the love of your inner self. To be really free, find the love within!
‘’Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and
then dies having never really lived.” Dalai Lama
Freedon within is the gift of life. Open the present and see that being in the present with an open heart and thought is life’s real freedom!
