Covering up what lies festering inside is a nursing of the negatives that hide the true beauty of the loving self. The popular names of bastard or bitch often come clothed in a smile looking for friendship but often turning into anything but, or a flickering friendship that depends on the whim of the bi-polar charlatan. The ‘b or b’ actually lives in a house of pain where their inner love doesn’t appear to be home but hidden in the darkness. Things grow best in the light not in the shadows of denial or misery that only feeds on itself. Cultivating a ‘charm’ to avoid what certainly isn’t, doesn’t last long in its superficiality when closeness exposes the dichotomy.
Everyone has a different path in life largely dependent on where or what ‘hand’ they were dealt from heredity or circumstances early in life. Opportunities abound to rise above if needed although they may be hidden deeply in the forests of life. When negatives or traumas are left to a flickering between dark and light (self fears, angers, insecurities, hatreds, etc. to repressed qualities of love) that often are suppressed by the negatives, the human ricochets endlessly between in what some call unfortunately, ‘a bitch or a bastard/asshole’. Each is a result of inattention to what needs to be paid attention to.
Everything to grow and work well needs ‘sensitivity’! Sensitivity needs one to pay attention and be aware not only of inner behavior but that which is best for the object of your decisions. There is nothing that doesn’t need some sort of skill of sensitivity be it in cooking, sports, gardening, everyday actions and behaviors. Everything to work well is in a ‘harmonious positioning’ to itself and connections. In my meditation center here, after years of experimenting with numerous rules to make things run well, I instruct each new resident that there is only rule, and that rule is sensitivity. Sensitivity to the place as a temple and shelter from the outer world. Sensitivity to each other, and especially sensitivity to yourself and your highest consciousness.
At the moment, I’m living across the street from a cliff that overlooks an inlet from the ocean. There is a storm of 40-50 mile per hour winds causing lots of wind noise and white caps in the water below from above my computer which looks out over the water. A power line is down a few feet from the window, and being fixed with sensitivity of several ‘line men’ on a cherry picker to lift them to the top of a pole, all more sensitive than having to climb the telephone pole a few years ago.
Everywhere life is flowing or doing the best it can asking in its own way for the sensitivity to enrich it with the best possible assistance. Sensitivity is love, and love is sensitive. Always check yourself out (and in) for that sensitivity in all!
