Change for Love!
September 24, 2015
‘Accept me as I am’ really is a form of deception to hide insecurities. Who really are you, and more succinct, who’s below that mask that hides behind the niceties and the smile? Who you are in another’s perception may have little relevance to who you are. In fact your own perception may also have little relevance to the real you.
Two people meeting in that moment of mutual love have been said that each is not being the real them? Actually the opposite is the truth! Once the love settles back into the ‘everyday persona’ with it’s deviations from that early moment, then that result is not the ‘real you’ but what your past has come to merge into your mask that you operate through. Few grow up not having to escape ‘scrapes’ of the early years that impaired your trust, compassion, and general attitude.
Adapting to the mask that you wear is to cheat yourself and any others you encounter of your inner qualities that gather dust while you continue to be what is not the best you. People in the past (and still) dealt with what they were handed in early life with little or no change or correction for greater consciousness. There are many situations that require using the best discernment in how to ‘interface’, with another, however in more intimate encounters, specifically with a ‘love partner’ both need to not have to modify behaviors with each other. Each must analyze why they are the way they are, and if it is coming from the best choices available. Conscious living, whether alone or with a partner, requires a constant evolving to greater awareness and discernment of all behaviors. More concisely, are you coming from the depths of love in your heart?
You are perfect ‘considering from where you came’, but beneath that is another perfection that each being has. Life at this time is an opportunity to reach that ‘inner all you can be’, and when in the heart with awareness you are that. The old adage of accepting me as I am may apply to people you have a superficial relationships with be it business or just acquaintances. Two people who start the love experience need to clear inner obstacles like all unnecessary fears of trust, abandonment, anger, negativity, etc., and in that state a pure connection of surrender happens where two individual become an ‘us’ or ONE, and without of course keeping their identity. Of course, the common connection that avoids changing for the better is an option for those feeling ‘love’ is a foolish dream. Bless their ignorance.
In my many groups I’ve suggested that through meditation you can clear the inner of negatives, but as a precursor why not begin changing the outer with discerning awareness. Change for the better is a holistic opportunity for body, mind, and spirit. To be open to change is a gift of love to yourself as well as to another.
