Drunk, Drugged, Love

Substance abuse has been a path for spiritual evolution for a small percent of those who broke away from the prison of ‘mind alterers’. The odds that it is one that works for all substance abusers, but a rare few are not very good, yet it happens. In fact letting go of any block to spiritual growth, and through stopping, intent, and mediation, is possible. I’ve had quite a few individuals in my centers who had blocks for inner growth, but who chose to let go of them, and jumped on a journey train of meditation to raise their awareness and open their heart more.
The ‘walls of protection of the past’s ego’ can and do fall, much as the Berlin Wall kept East Germans from freedom. Freedom from all ‘walls or fearful insulation’ require a healthy regime of habits that engender positivity and awareness in persistent fashion. A few years ago when I was in beautiful Kashmir, India lights normally were on, then off, or on steady while flickering between dark and light. People are often the same, jumping from wonderful and pleasant to negativity, and a state of being the ‘victim’. Blocks in the flow of their positive nature are left unattended year after year as if ‘it’s normal’, while settling on the positive moments without addressing why the negative ones are initiated by them.
Frequently, substance abuse, while providing momentary pleasure, slips back into old habits, and as time continues with the substance abuse, it increases and buries or piles up negativities. That negativity attracts others who suffer the same thing, and when someone positive enters your life, bad habits will color your ability to see that you are initiating possibly 100% all reaction that mirror you as the initiator. Positive types often have tolerance, empathy, and compassion in abundance, however they are not likely to want to spend their precious time deflecting ‘up and down’ types of personalities.
You have all the qualities of love the most enlightened being ever had, you just have to turn around, and look inside at the soul of perfection that you can access and drink from. Life is a challenge to come back from the accumulation of where you’ve been to who you really are, and that’s a perfect soul. You can chase butterflies and Lamborghini’s while being like the squirrel who whiles away the autumn rather than gather his food for the winter. Inside, you know all there is to know of divine’s highest qualities. Only YOU have the key! Love your soul deep down the rabbit hole, and then you’re ready to share that love with someone else who does too! There is a song by the great singer, John Legend, ’You Wanna be Love’. Do it! Follow your heart!
