Atrophy of Freedoms
November 15, 2014
While people in America are stretched too thin for time to pay attention to their ‘freedoms’, things are changing faster than at any time in history. Our shrinking freedoms are changing while the individual collectively is too busy with survival as well as entertainment. They are carelessly thinking and trusting that the slippery politicians they have elected are serving them when in fact its the moneyed and corporate interests with the other 99% as an afterthought placed on the back burner of attention. Our ‘freedoms’, like our dwindling water supply are under cancerous atrophy.
Who but you the citizen in awareness and action is going to reverse what our elected servants of the people are playing with?
The world that most of us would like to bequeath to our children and the young is under covert, self serving grasp of the elite and politicians. While both political parties places the blame on the other, new laws slip through favoring one parties interests leaving the public is left in the shadows of confusion. The speed of change is in conflict with the individual and collective that are dealing with personal problems while not paying attention to a fast moving world that needs the ‘acute focus’ and action of all but a tiny fraction of those not adversely affected.
In a way, the chaos of the world in a microscopic sense is what is happening to most individuals. Positive action to correct the course of movement to a more fulfilling, healthy direction is met with results typically going in the opposite direction! Real education is just the beginning in the step out of institutionalized mind programming of so called ‘higher education’. Life and love are schools that provide challenges to fill everyone’s wisdom cup, or not. The choice is yours!
One who drinks and eats with no discernment will slide slowly into an atrophy of physical health, as will the one who lives on entertainments, or sources of information that isn’t challenged by critical questioning and thinking. The idle body, mind and spirit is the playground of ‘atrophy’ to lowering all personal qualities. Care for the self needs to translate today into care for others to make it a world that catches up, and keeps pace with burgeoning technology and those making decisions to control your life whether you know it or not. The ‘shadow’ of robotizing humanity lurks everywhere, and sadly you’ll pay with taxes and slow losses of freedoms.
“Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habit. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”
