Women are smart when it comes to things they like to be smart in. Clearly, males have and continue to, ‘Lord over’ women from the sexual to running wars, and money. In America, the majority of women frankly are dumb when it comes to matters of the world.
Periodically, I’ll ask a woman some of the easy questions on ‘world matters’, from 9-11 questions to inquire if they know simple, obvious answers to questions of ‘do you know who ‘xyz’ is. The answer is usually, ‘no’! The world needs female leadership to correct the fatal miscues that males continue to often make.
Always, finding the inner world of a sense of enlightenment is primary, but in the ‘new world’ of today, that’s not enough! The ancient name for the type of spiritual person who gives up on the world, and goes into the mountains to be alone, is an Arhat. I took the name as I’m quite the opposite, but having seen that people are often the opposite of their name’s meaning – for example the ‘Lucky and Harmony’s I’ve met were quite the opposite of what their names meant, ironically. To be protected from the outer or inner out of fear and ignorance, especially in these times, is to shirk responsibility as well as the opportunity to rise to great personal heights of evolvement.
Keep in mind, only that which you can take with you when you leave the body is important. Your money, fame, position, aspirations, etc. are but an illusion. That means, except meditation (love within), nothing is important. Except awareness, nothing is important, because only awareness cannot be taken away by death. Everything else will be snatched away, because everything else comes from without. Only awareness wells up within. That cannot be taken away. And the shadows of awareness – compassion, love – they cannot be taken away. They are intrinsic parts of awareness. You will be taking with you only whatsoever awareness you have attained. That is your only real wealth.
Male or female, the opportunities to know yourself are the same, and there has never been a time with a better environment. Turn the focus of awareness inward, and don’t waste this precious time on finding satisfaction on the outside only to see it disappear.
Build the castles within, and walk tall!
