Just slip out the back, Jack. Make a new plan, Stan. You don’t need to be coy, Roy. Just get yourself free. Hop on the bus, Gus. You don’t need to discuss much. Just drop off the key, Lee, and get yourself free. Words from a Paul Simon classic song of the 1970’s is a tongue in cheek agenda for most partnering ‘arrangements’, hopefully with sensitive empathy and compassion.

Remember one thing: we can never have the world perfectly the way we want it, but we can always seek ways to improve upon it. If one really wants to be happy, start by accepting the situation as it is while realizing that we all are here for a very short time. Time left for negativity just eats away at life. Take what you have, and make the best of it. To seek perfection, or the impossible is to fritter away otherwise valuable time, finding the best possibilities to make of any situation. Focus on the ‘now’ as well as what’s possible while having compassion for anyone involved. There is always an ‘angle’ for making the best of the moment, and the next moves.

Cultivate the right attitude. There is no situation that needs to create misery in you that can’t be replaced by finding even a small part to create optimism and happiness. The mind can be filled with dilemma’s about what to do. The mind can be divided against itself making it a ‘half mind/brain’ at best. Doctors and ‘big pharma’ have coined new terms to describe the discombobulated mind as ‘bi-polar’ or multi-polar. You need to be mono-polar, and centered rather than fighting a war between two illusions that the imagination feeds as being real.

Close your eyes, and find the rhythm of the breath of life. Watch the breath as you slowly breath in and out to relax the mind, and open the heart to the moment, here and now. Make this exercise a daily part of life to smooth the path to clearer and clearer thinking. Self redemption will slowly work its way into your whole being dissolving the lines of inner dissension. The journey of the soul is to find, and be on the path of right use of life and love within. It’s never too late to turn the switch of letting go, emptying the attachment to unwanted memories and mind control from others that has become a ‘takeover of who you really are’.
