‘Sounds of minds jungles’ rumble through the restless minds of the sleepless and sleep deprived nightly. ‘A good nights rest’ is an illusion or dream for the restless sleeper. Sleep patterns are as varied as people. The phrase and wish for another to ‘sleep well’ is generally given as a ‘good night’ gesture without any particular acknowledgment of it’s importance in reality.
Adequate and quality sleep are as important, if not more, as the food we eat. Humans need calmness with a loving, harmonious life, but can exist on lesser levels with lesser degrees of functioning. An inner stress often hidden from view can cover up ‘sleep deprivation’ but with karma that may only silently leak out to the detriment of others, especially a ‘loved one’.
In relaxed states of calmness, love is nourished and grows leaving experiences and decisions on a higher level that the mind is capable of alone. Decisions in life are influenced by a healthy consciousness, or by a stressed mind that doesn’t relate to the heart with consistency and quality. You can function in job tasks with ‘erratic sleep’ before, but with less quality of performance than having had a restful sleep.
Having a loving life will always be impaired for the ‘poor sleeper’. The poor sleeper is often cursed with fluctuating moods, recurring moments of aggravation, irritibleness, restlessness, anger, despondency, and general bouts of negativity, etc. Good sleep has the rewards of seeing life in a more positive way with more open answers to all challenges. Good sleep opens compassion, understanding, sensitivity and generally all aspects of the body, mind and heart. Peace apart from the mind comes.
Medication for a good nights sleep, unless in rare circumstances, is no substitution for the meditation of calm relaxation. In America, there’s a pill for every ailment, including the disease of sleepyitis, which is a ‘dis-ease’ to all of life’s encounters. Love comes from a happy heart and a happy relaxed mind, otherwise it’s ‘faux love’ with endless chatter to convince oneself, and another that it’s real. Love flourishes with romancing sleep to be a friend! Happy sleeps make happier people!
